The Art department offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts in the areas of Art Education, Graphic Design, and Studio Art. Minors are available in Studio Art and Graphic Design.

We are committed to offering instruction that helps students acquire skill and achieve an understanding of the fundamentals of art production. New state of the art facilities completed in 2002 enable students to experience and express themselves creatively. Our class sizes offer students the ability to have individualized attention from faculty. This personal attention is also focused on in the department’s advising and helps student’s plan course work and graduate.

While there is no formal portfolio review required for admission, the graphic design concentration has a sophomore review for formal entry into that program; ensuring that students have a certain level of talent, needed to excel in a career. Art department scholarships are competitive and limited to continuing art department students who show promise and seriousness of purpose/attitude in their studies. Applications are due March 1st every year and are available online.
