The Music Department is located in the Moss Performing Arts Center, which houses a 288-seat Recital Hall, 620-seat theater, two large rehearsal halls, 13 faculty studies, a new piano/technology lab with 16 stations, as well as classrooms and practice rooms.

Boettcher Scholar Chooses Mesa State College

to Major in Music

Lynnsey Lambrecht, a saxophonist from Sterling High School, will attend Mesa State College this fall to pursue a double degree in Music Education and Music Performance. It has been over 30 years since a Boettcher Foundation Scholarship winner has chosen Mesa State College as their top choice. After carefully looking at other institutions in Colorado, Lynnsey decided that Mesa State College is where she would like to be. Lynnsey states, “The faculty at MSC is willing to go out of their way for me to be successful. Music Department Faculty Gala Recital and Open House - September 13, 2007

The music faculty at Mesa State College will present their annual gala recital on September 13, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall. Prior to this concert, the faculty will host an open house for high school students and their parents at 6:30 p.m. Any student interested in pursuing a career in music or who have questions about life after high school are invited to attend.
