The
director was looking for traditional Victorian-Era clothing.
Besides the elegant costumes of the higher-class citizens seen
in the top left picture, I also had to create "freak"
clothing for the circus scenes. The two "pinhead"
women can be seen in the upper right picture. While I had to
create the "freaks" for the production, there are
no makeup prosthetics used for Elephant Man John Merrick. Merrick
is seen in the bottom picture in the vest.
