B.A. (1989),Northern Arizona University; M.A. (1992), University
of San Francisco; Ph.D. (1996) Arizona State University. Dr. Casey
teaches courses on political theory, world politics, US foreign
policy, environmental politics, European government, comparative
politics; religion and politics, and American politics. His research
interests include environmental political theory, Canadian studies,
indigeneous cultures, political geography, and religious politics.
He is also the advisor to the International Relations Club. Dr.
Casey is also actively involved in applied research through his
position as Field Coordinator at the Natural Resources and Land
Policy Institute at Mesa State College.

MICHAEL C. GIZZI, Ph.D.

Political Science), The University at Albany, SUNY, 1992; Ph.D.
(Political Science, emphasis in Public Law and American politics),
The University at Albany, SUNY, 1996. Dr. Gizzi's research interests
include the pedagogical uses of computers and technology in the
classroom; the impact of technology on American politics, and
first amendment speech and press rights in cyberspace. His book,
The Web of Democracy, an American Government text for Wadsworth
publishers is in its second edition. He teaches the following
courses: American Government, Constitutional Law, American Constitutional
Development, Civil Liberties, and American Courts.

JOHN D. REDIFER, Ph.D.
Professor of Political Science

B.A. (Philosophy), University of Maryland Baltimore County, 1977;
M.A. (Political Science), Colorado State University, 1991; Ph.
D. (Political Science), Colorado State University, 1994. Dr. Redifer's
research interests include public policy, environmental policy,
intergovernmental relations, and state and local government. Dr.
Redifer coordinates the Political Science Internship Program,
placing students in a variety of government positions around the
county, state, and nation. Currently, Dr. Redifer is the Department
Head for the Social and Behavioral Sciences Department and the
Director of the Natural Resources and Land Policy Institute which
focuses on providing research assistance and mediation for local
governments and federal agencies in the management of public lands
and natural resources.
