The mission of the Shideler Center for Science Learning in the School of Natural Science and Mathematics (NSM) is to foster closer collaborations between the faculty and students of Mesa State College and the teachers and children in K-12. An important function of the center is to provide field science experiences. Students and teachers from area school districts participate in field trips with Mesa State faculty and students. The team develops field guides and teaching aids based upon each trip. To take a virtual field trip with us, please click on any of the choices below. We hope you find the experience both entertaining and educational. We would like to thank the Colorado Institute of Technology for funding this work.
