Non-Traditional & Commuter Students

Maybe your enrollment at MSC is the first time you've ever attended college. Maybe you've already attended one, or several colleges and you're trying to finish your degree. Or maybe you live with your parents and drive to school.

No matter what has brought you to MSC, we have a lot to offer. However, figuring out what you need to do to have a successful college career can be stressful.

This guide is inteded to provide some quick links to the things you really, really need to know.

First things first:

Academic Calendar

 

Address Change:

  • Contact the Registrar's Office located in Lowell Heiny Hall (LHH) or call 248-1555.
  • Contact Financial Aid if you receive financial aid, located in Lowell Heiny Hall (LHH) or call 248-1396.
  • Contact the Student Payroll Department if you work for the college, located in Lowell Heiny Hall (LHH) or call 248-1098.

 

Bookstore:

  • The Bookstore is located in the WW Campbell College Center on 12th & Elm. They sell books, supplies and MSC gear. Please call 248-1422.

Computer Accounts:

  • Once you have registered for classes, you need to visit the Computer Lab located on the first floor of the Library to activate your student email account. This account gives you access to the internet.

MSC MAVcard

  • The MSC MAVcard is your student ID. Your student fees pay for the ID and every student is required to have one. The ID is also used to check out books at the library, eat at the dining hall (either with your meal plan or as MAVmoney), and eat at the Cafe a la Cart in Houston Hall (MAVmoney only).

Business Office:

  • This is where you pay your bills; pick up your paycheck (if you work on campus) and pay parking tickets. They are located in Lowell Heiny Hall. Please call 248-1078.
