GSA's
MISSION STATEMENT
Mesa State GSA Club strives to advocate fairness and
equality for all students regardless of sexual orientation. We
serve the needs of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, questioning,
and straight ally (GLBTQA) students. Our goal is to provide a
campus and community free of homophobia and prejudice, where people
can feel safe just being themselves. This club serves as support
for students with similar goals.
GSA is a club that relies on the
dedication of its members to grow and thrive in the community.
We work to provide a safe, compassionate environment for our members
to discuss problems, fears, and issues they face.

WHAT WE DO
Through programs and presentations GSA strives to educate
students, faculty, staff, and the community about issues facing
gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people. We seek to open
dialogues between the gay and straight communities, and have issues
facing GLBT people recognized. We also hold events to give students
a chance to interact with other GLBTA people, such as movie nights,
potlucks, and social outings.
UnityFest
GSA collaborates with the other clubs each spring to
produce a week-long celebration of diversity, UnityFest. We
are given one full day to celebrate our pride here on campus.
