Why College Housing?
We understand that you want the best possible college environment
for your student. While some parents decide the best place
for their son or daughter is at home or in an off-campus
apartment, we truly believe that best place for your student
is on campus. Residence
halls provide students with a degree
of independence, while still offering some supervision.
Students set their own hours, make daily decisions with
their roommates and hall neighbors, and have access to
regular, nutritious meals. At the same time, residence
hall living is regulated by policies regarding certain
behaviors. Residence hall policies are designed to ensure
a safe, comfortable environment for all students.
For second year or transfer students, our Walnut
Ridge Apartments offer your student
a unique college atmosphere where neighbors share similar
goals (such as graduating), and together form
an academic community unlike any found off campus. Apartment
Managers are available for apartment residents should they
need someone
to talk to about personal or academic concerns.
Apartments also have the benefits of on-site staff, prompt
maintenance and amenities such as free laundry. They are
walking distance from the library, Recreation Center, College
Center, the dining hall, and many other buildings on campus.
You would be hard pressed to find comparable student support,
programming, and cost value in any off campus apartment!
For the second year or for transfer students who do not
want the apartment life, our suite style halls offer the
best
of both worlds. Students get a great community, good neighbors,
separate bedroom and bathrooms, but still have the ability
to use
the dining hall and continue to experience the residence
hall lifestyle. New Hall and Monument
Hall offer this type
of lifestyle.
