Need a MAVcard?

How to get a MAVcard ID?
Once a student is admitted and enrolled at Mesa State College, they need to visit the MAVcard Office located in the College Center, across from the Information Desk. Our hours are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday.

Students need to bring a copy of their registered schedule and an official type of identification. Accepted types of identification are passports, driver’s license, state identification cards or a military ID. Cards will not be issued without proper identification or presentation of a current registered schedule.

Students should be prepared to have their picture taken. Hats or other particles that hide or obscure the students facial identity is not permitted to be used in the photo.

· Mesa State College first-time, degree-seeking students do not have to pay for their first card.
· Non-degree seeking students are not eligible for MSC MAVcards
· If a student should lose or damage their MAVcard, various fees will be assessed at the time of reissuing.

· ONLY Distance Learning students living outside of the Grand Valley can mail in our online Distance Learning Form for a MAVcard.

Replacement Cards
The MSC MAVcard Office uses quality student ID products, but due to its’ heavy use and wear and tear on these cards, they may need to be replaced during your college career. Replacement cards include worn pictures, damaged magnetic strips, name changes, status changes, or MAVcard’s that have been broken, but you still have all the pieces of that card. With replacement cards, the MAVcard numbers on the card face are not reissued. Therefore, in order to receive a replacement card, patrons must hand in the old card that needs to be replaced and pay a fee of $5.00. Failure to present the old card will result in a lost card classification, a reissue of MAVcard numbers on the card face, and patrons will then need to pay the lost card fee of $15.00. (Top)

Lost or Stolen Cards
Lost or stolen MAVcard’s should be reported to the MAVcard Office IMMEDIATELY at (970) 248-1059 so your meal plan and money convenience accounts can be suspended from unauthorized use on campus.

If your MAVcard was activated as an ATM card for your Wells Fargo Checking Account, please call 1-800-866-BANK to cancel the card.

Please note: any money on your card is like cash and can be used by anyone. The cardholder is responsible for any purchases debited/charged to the account prior to MAVcard Office notification. Failure to notify the MAVcard Office of your lost or stolen card will result in non-refundable lost funds. For more information on your MAVcard accounts please refer to the Terms and Conditions and the Disclosure Statement.

Once the lost/stolen card is reported, the MAVcard Office will print you a new card for a fee of $15.00. All of your account numbers will be changed and sent to the proper departments. You will need to stop by the Wells Fargo Banking Customer Service Center to attach your new card to your Wells Fargo Checking Account.

If you happen to find your lost card, please destroy it so you do not confuse the two cards. We are unable to reactivate a found card once a replacement card has been issued.

If you find a card on campus, please bring it to the MAVcard Office. All lost-and-found cards are filed and kept for the current academic year. If you lose your card, please check at the MAVcard Office to see if someone has turned it in. (Top)
