Program Information
The Mesa State College Outdoor Program has been in existence
since 1975. The program is supported by student fees, and is available
to all Mesa State students, staff, faculty, and alumni.
- Trips - Each year the program offers a variety of non-motorized
wilderness pursuits including hiking, rock climbing, kayaking,
canoeing and biking. All skill levels are welcome to participate
but beginners are especially encouraged to take advantage of these
opportunities.
- Clinics - Many outdoor skills workshops are offered,
such as Wilderness First Aid, ski waxing, and bike maintenance.
- Climbing Wall - A FREE 30 foot wall awaits you in our
Student Recreation Center.
- Equipment rentals - FREE use of kayaks, skis, bicycles
and more with the OP Pass. Click on Equipment Rental for more
details!
- Kayak Pool Sessions - FREE Monday night fun in the Recreation
Center Pool.
- Wednesday Night Wanderings - FREE weekly slideshows which
are open to the public.

Outdoor Program Mission Statement
Our Mission is to provide quality educational and recreational
outdoor experiences affordable to all MSC students, faculty, and
alumni. These experiences are carried out with an awareness and
concern for the natural environment and our impact upon it.
