Student Employment
Are you looking for a great student job? We may have what
you are looking for! Campus Recreation Services employs
more than 100 students each year working in a variety of
areas. Our positions offer you more than extra spending
money. Experience in a professional environment provides
you with the personal stimulation not always offered in
the classroom. Positions vary from monitoring the front
desk, lifeguarding, instructing classes, refereeing, supervising
specific activity areas, working as an office assistant,
and many more. If you are interested in a challenging and
exciting part-time position, the Student Recreation Center
is the place for you!
To find out which positions are available, check the employment
board adjacent to the Director's office (SRC 137), look
for fliers in the Student Recreation Center, or check the
Advising & Career Center located in Lowell Heiny
Hall Room 127 or visit their web site. Campus Recreation
Services is a fun and exciting place to work, a place where
the staff is dedicated to creating an environment in which
students and members can seriously pursue the business of
enjoying themselves!

Equipment Issue
Limited athletic and recreation equipment is available
for free checkout, rental, and sale at the Information Desk.
Equipment available for free checkout include basketballs,
volleyballs, soccer balls (indoors and outdoors), jump ropes,
lap counters, climbing harnesses, carabineers, eyeguards,
weight belts and work out towels. Racquetball rackets, badminton
rackets, bath towels, and climbing shoes are available for
rental. Racquetballs and shuttlecocks are available for
purchase. All equipment checkouts and rentals may be secured
with a MAVcard. All
equipment checked out or rented at the Student Recreation
Center must remain within the confines of the facilities
(exceptions: Frisbees and outdoor soccer balls).

Wellness Program
The Department of Kinesiology and Campus Recreation Services
have jointly formed a partnership committed to promote healthy
lifestyles for all members of the campus community. The
goal of the Wellness Office is to assist the campus community
in achieving optimal health and a productive lifestyle that
improves the quality of life through organized efforts based
on campus.
