Individual Sports Ladders

Continuous and periodic entries.

The Department of Intramural Sports maintains league ladders for individual sports including tennis, racquetball, disc golf, and badminton. The purpose of these ladders is to engage in competitive play as well as meet other players of similar skill levels for social play. Play is continuous and and arranged on your time with your opponent with scores reported to the Intramural Sports Office in the Student Recreation Center (SRC 138). Ladder play will conclude with a tournament with times and dates to be arranged. Players may use the adjacent Elliott Tennis Center courts when classes, varsity team practice, or USTA leagues are not in session; the racquetball courts in the Student Recreation Center and Saunders Fieldhouse; and the disc golf courses in Lincoln Park, Canyon View Park, Westlake Park, and Sherwood Park; and the badminton courts in the Student Recreation Center gymnasium. Sign up at the Intramural Office or pick up further information on any of these ladders. We will help you find others interested in playing your sport, even if not listed here. In addition, badminton and disc golf have regularly scheduled weekly times in which anyone can join in and/or learn. These times will be posted or check with the Intramural Sports Department.

Team Sport Tournaments

Dates to be announced. The Department of Intramural Sports periodically holds tournaments and competitions in team sports and individual activities which will include: 3-on-3 volleyball, racquetball, badminton, disc golf, 3-on-3 basketball, walleyball, swimming, and others to be announced. These tournaments and competitions are held in the Student Recreation Center or appropriate place. Publicity and sign up will take place during the season with all teams and participants notified by the Department of Intramural Sports.

Fitness Club

Continuous sign up. The Department of Intramural Sports will be organizing a club for students and staff wishing to establish and work toward specific aerobic workout goals. We can help you establish and monitor goals. Those achieving their goals receive t-shirts advertising their accomplishment.

Club Sports

Signup dates to be announced. The Department of Intramural Sports administers club sports that all students may join. Each club membership decides whether or not to charge member dues to raise additional funds for travelling to competitions and to purchase equipment. The current club sports are cycling, rodeo, rugby, and track and field.
