What hours are the gymnasium open?
This area is open whenever the Student Recreation Center is
open. However, the gyms are used for intramural sports most
evenings Monday through Thursday. During these time period,
we attempt to leave one court open for drop in play.
How do I go about reserving a court?
Reservations may be made for volleyball or indoor soccer on
weekends. Normally, the courts are left open for pick up basketball,
drop in volleyball or intramural activities Monday through
Thursday.
Do I need special shoes to play on the
gym floor? Do you have a dress code?
We expect all participants to wear soft-bottom athletic shoes
that do not leave marks on the floor. We also expect all players
to wear a shirt or tee shirt at all times.
Can I check out a basketball or volleyball?
Yes. All equipment can be checked out and in at the Information
Desk at the entrance to the Student Recreation Center. You
must present your MAV card, which will be scanned along with
the equipment ID card. Once the equipment is returned, the
equipment ID card is scanned again and the equipment is logged
back in.
