Questions About Intramural Sports

How do I get on an Intramural team if I don't know anybody else who wants to play that sport?
First go to the organizational meeting for that sport. You can get that information on the Intramural Sports schedule, in the Campus Recreation Services brochure, or by calling the Intramural Office at 248-1591. Second, if you can't make the meeting, contact the Intramural Office. We will put you on our free agent list for that sport and will help you get in touch with team captains needing players or form a complete team of free agents if there is enough interest.

How do I find out what Intramural activities are offered?
Pick up a Campus Recreation Services brochure at the Student Recreation Center or check the Intramural Sports webpage. This has a listing of all activities and the dates of meetings, league play, events, and how each activity is organized. If you live on campus, an Intramural Calendar was placed in your room before you arrived for fall semester.

How do I enter a team or myself for a sport or activity?
Attend the organizational meeting for that sport or contact the Intramural Office to pick up a team entry roster or enter yourself in an activity or event. Entry forms and rules will be provided for you at that time. Many sports and activities are organized at a specific time and place on a "drop-in" basis, so you can come directly to the event without prior signup.

Who is eligible to play Intramural Sports?
All current students and staff of Mesa State with MAVcards are eligible to enter the Student Recreation Center. If you are a full time student (considered 10 hours or more for fee purposes), you have already paid all your fees for this program and just need to bring your MAVcards. Part time students will need to pay the remaining portion of their fees for the Student Recreation Center only.

Can I get a job with Intramural Sports?
If you have experience as an official in one of our sports or have expertise in one of our other activities contact the Intramural Office. We hire new official and instructors every year.
