Questions About The Student Recreation Center Policy Committee

What is the purpose of the Student Recreation Center Policy Committee?
This committee is charged with reviewing policies and making recommendations regarding the operations of the Student Recreation Center.

Where does my $96.40 per semester in student fees go?
The majority (almost $37.00) goes toward the debt retirement for the facility. The remainder assists with the operations of the Student Recreation Center.

What is the makeup of the committee?
There are ten voting members of this committee. The president of the Associated Student Government appoints six students to serve on this committee each year. The other members of this committee include the Director of Campus Recreation Services, the Director of Intramural Sports, a staff member from the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, and a faculty member from the Department of Human Performance and Wellness.

Can anyone attend the committee meetings?
Yes. All meetings are open to the student body.

How often does this committee meet?
Once or twice a month. Contact the Director of Campus Recreation Services for meeting dates/times/places.

How can I bring up an issue or get on the agenda?
Contact the Director of Campus Recreation Services (SRC 137) who will invite you to the next available meeting and put you on the agenda.

How can I get involved on this committee?
