Where do I rent a locker and subscribe
to the towel service?
At the Information Desk located at the entrance of the Student
Recreation Center.
Do students get a discounted locker and
towel fee?
Yes. You must present your MAV card at the Information Desk
to receive the discount.
Do I get free locker and towel service
if I take a physical education or dance class?
No, nothing is free. If, however, you paid for the locker
and towel service fee at registration, you will not have to
pay for a locker a second time. Please be aware, not all physical
education or dance classes have a required towel and locker
fee. The staff at the Information Desk can determine if you
paid this fee at registration or not.
If I am taking more than one physical
education class that has a mandatory locker and towel service
fee, can I get more than one locker?
Yes. However, you will have to pay an additional fee for the
second locker at the Information Desk.
For how long can I rent a locker?
You may rent a locker for a module, semester, or year, or
any combination of these increments.
Do I have to provide a lock or can I
bring my own lock?
If you pay the locker and towel service fee, a combination
lock comes with the rental. You can bring your own lock and
use the day lockers at no charge. However, all day lockers
must be vacated each evening prior to closing. Private locks
may not be left on lockers overnight. Those participants who
leave their possessions in a day locker may have their locks
cut off and possessions removed. Only Mesa State approved
locks may be left on lockers overnight.
Do I get a towel with the locker rental?
Does this include a towel exchange?
Yes. There will be a towel in your locker when you first arrive.
Simply exchange the towel for a clean one anytime you like.
Towels can be exchanged at the laundry room window or at the
Information Desk.
Do I have to hold onto the towel until
the end of the rental term?
You are given the option of having a towel or not. The default
option is yes, you will have a towel. You can choose to turn
in your towel to the Information Desk attendant on the day
you rent the locker, and you will no longer be responsible
for the towel.
Can I be issued more than one towel for
my locker?
No. You are entitled to only one towel per rental locker.
How do I conclude my locker rental?
You are expected to remove all of your personal possessions
and leave the MSC bath towel in your locked locker. It does
not matter if the towel left behind is clean or dirty.
What happens if I forget to leave my
towel in the locked locker?
You will be billed for a towel replacement, which is currently
$6.00.
What happens to my possessions if I forget
to remove them from the locker at the end of the semester?
Your possessions will most likely be removed and stored in
lost and found for a minimum of two weeks. After that, the
possessions are either thrown away or given to charity. If
you are enrolled for the next semester, your student account
could be billed for a continued locker rental.
