Dr. Aslan holds a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado,
Boulder, Colorado (1994), an M.S. from the University of Colorado (1990),
and a BS from Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island (1986), and has
studied abroad at Australian National University, Canberra, Australia (1985).
He was a Research Associate at the Bureau of Economic Geology, University
of Texas at Austin (1998-1999), a Senior Lecturer at Mary Washington College
(1997-1998), a Visiting Assistant Professor at Virginia Wesleyan College
(1996-1997), a Visiting Assistant Professor at Oberlin College (1995-1996),
and Adjunct Faculty at Front Range Community College, Colorado (1995).
He has taught physical and historical geology, environmental geology, oceanography,
earth surface processes, and fluvial geomorphology and hydrology.
Dr. Aslan is the recipient of numerous grants and awards including the
University of Colorado Graduate Student Foundation Fund Award (1987, 1989,
1991, 1992). He has authored/co-authored 12 articles and 16 abstracts.

Dr. Cole, a native of western
Colorado, is a Professor of Geology in the Department of Physical and Environmental
Sciences. Cole's expertise is in sedimentology, stratigraphy, paleontology,
energy resources, and the geology of Colorado. Prior to joining Mesa State
College in 1995, he was a Senior Research Associate with Unocal Corporation
(1983-95), a Staff Geoscientist for Bendix Field Engineering Corporation
(1978-1980), and an Assistant Professor of Geology at Southern Illinois
University (1975-78). Cole holds a Ph.D. in geology from the University
of Utah (1975), a B.S. in geology from Colorado State University (1970),
and an A.S. in geology from Mesa Junior College (1968). Cole is a Registered
Professional Geologist in the State of Wyoming, and is a member of the
Geological Society of America, Sigma XI, Sigma Gamma Epsilon, and the Society
of Economic Paleontologists and Mineralogists.

Mr. Hase holds an M.S. degree
from Michigan Technological University (1973) and a B.A. degree from the
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (1967). He has worked as an underground
Mine Geologist, Exploration Geologist, Senior Exploration Geologist, District
Geologist and a Consulting Geologist. His special interests are metallic
mineral deposits-genesis and morphology, particularly volcanic massive
sulfides and economic geology.

Dr. Johnson holds a Ph.D. from

(1970), and a B.A. from Southern Illinois University (1967). His professional
interests include geophysics, hydrogeology, geology, environmental geology,

Mr. Donn Lorhammer holds a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering
from naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA (1989), and a B.S. in Meteorology
from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT (1975). During his twenty-seven
year career in the U.S. Navy, Mr. Lorhammer served in numerous capacities
as a Nuclear/Mechanical Engineer Duty officer. He implemented a training
program for engineering laboratory technicians, developed a unique and
innovative engineering method to dispose of large radioactive components,
identified and developed a hull blasting system to meet stringent hazardous
waste regulations, and developed a "hands-on" nuclear training program
which is now the model used throughout the Naval fleet. From 1984 -1987,
he served as Navigation and Operations Officer aboard the nuclear ballistic
missile submarine USS Nevada. As a current staff member at Mesa State College,
Mr. Lorhammer teaches Weather and Climate and Oceanography.

Mr. Sewell holds an M.S. degree
from the University of South Carolina and a B.A. degree from the State
University of West Georgia. He specialized in hydrogeology and inorganic
aquatic geochemistry at the University of South Carolina and has worked
in the Environmental field for over 20 years. He worked as a Staff Geoscientist
for Bendix Field Engineering for 15 years and as an Environmental Consultant
for Rust Environment and Infrastructure for 5 years.
