Suzanne's desk is in the Purchasing Department, just head north to Texas Avenue &Picture of Suzanne12th Street.

According to Paul Rowen, she is extremely helpful on difficult projects and always willing to tackle a problem. With a good sense of humor she makes things work.

A lighter note, Suzanne is a Graduate of the Master Gardner program and that goes along with the love for outdoor activities (running, jeeping, camping & hiking) and to top it all off she keeps up with her husband and two children's activities.



Ellen pictureELLIN ALSTATT - A Super Asset at The School of Business and Professional Studies in Houston Hall 100.

According to David Rogers, Ellin truly puts students first. Besides assisting all the students, Ellin works for two department chairs and 30 plus faculty members and she keeps everyone happy.

Morgan Bridge said, Ellin foes above and beyond in all she does, and with her cheerful personality and great smile makes students and staff feel welcome.]

BETTY MURPHY, Administrative Assistant at the School of Natural Sciences & Mathematics

Stop by the Science Laboratory Building room #222 and ask Betty to put on the "Elvis" or "O Picture of BettyBrother where Art Thous" cd's. For listening pleasure have Betty sing along with her beautiful voice.

Dr. Jane Arledge wrote, "Betty is an amazing woman, and all students and faculty love her. She is warm, caring and kind to all."

Of course when you have been here 15+ years, you know everyone on campus and can direct students and faculty in the right direction.

JR is the rock for the Biology Department as Lab Coordinator and keeps chaos at bay according to Dr. Werman.

A watchful eye 'as he cares about the budget and materials to chide us in a gentle manner when we are careless and wasteful', Professor Cornforth wrote.

Dr. Chowdry states 'we totally depend on his food work to make our labs run smoothly.

JR is a supporter of the Mesa Maverick Basketball Teams and sits courtside with his grandson at the majority of games.

ROBERT CACKLER - FINANCIAL AID'S Front Counter SupervisorPicture of Robert

Curt Martin said in his nomination , Robert is involved in the WEB Page process for the college and is responsible for much of enrollment management's web pages.
Robert is involved with his two daughters activities, being a 4H leader and extraordinary soccer coach.

Drop by the Financial Aid Office and say Hi to Robert.

Dave Rambo is the office mover specialist....there's no job too big or too small!!

Gail Thompson says in her nomination, "Dave is hard working and he does what is needed without complaint....he responds as quickly as possible to requests and does the job cheerfully." Dave has a way of fulfilling every request, many times last minute, whether it's for faculty, staff or students.

Theresia Holman writes, "in addition to Dave's position in Facilities Services, he is very active in his church." Through his church, Dave has volunteered his services in Mexico and Thailand.

CONGRATULATIONS TO GAIL THOMPSON!!Picture of Gail

Gail was selected Classified Employee for July!! Gail has been employed at MSC for three years....two years in the Human Resources Department and one as an administrative assistant in Social & Behavioral Sciences.

In addition to her normal duties, Gail acts as the liaison between MSC and the Aspinall Foundation board members. She spends many hours scheduling meetings, luncheons and dinners for the Aspinall Foundation. Gail also prepares packets for the Aspinall Scholarship Committee and coordinates the scholarship interviews.

Gail also volunteers her time and talents to organizations such as St. Mary's Hospital, the homeless shelter and to local nursing homes.

Congratulations!!


CONGRATULATIONS TO CAROLYN SCHAER!!

Picture of CarolynCarolyn is the Classified Employee for June!! She has been employed at MSC for 17 years. She is currently a Program Assistant II in the Registrar's Office. You can always count on Carolyn to ask, "how can I help?" Whether it is helping a student or co-worker she is always ready with a SMILE!! Royia Ruffin says that, "Carolyn is our institutional memory. She is a true role model for students and staff."

Carolyn has served on the following committees...calendar, appeals, registration, and budget. She has also served on several search committees. Carolyn has been an honorary coach for the women's volleyball team.

Congratulations!!


Have you seen the blonde lady with the camera....snapping pictures here and there? She's Picture of Lindaeven known to travel to the Montrose campus or to make an appearance at events on weekends to capture a much needed photo!! The lady with all the snap is LINDA SMITH, Program Assistant II in the Institutional Advancement Office.

Beverly Craddock writes, "we get lots of visitors, with Media Relations, Marketing, Institutional Advancement, Institutional Research, Sponsored Programs, Publications, and the Webmaster all housed in this suite. They range from students to donors and Linda treats them all with the same degree of respect. She will go the extra mile to get an answer, walk a student down the hall to show the way to Financial Aid, or volunteer to help a colleague with a project when she sees they are swamped. Linda is always kind and helpful to all who poke their heads in the "first door on the right" in LHH." (2nd floor)

In addition to her normal work schedule, Linda has taken classes to learn the basics of Photoshop and desktop publishing.

CONGRATULATIONS TO PAULA NICHOLS THE April 2002 CLASSIFIED STAFF EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH!!

Picture of PaulaWe all know her as "MIMI" at Halloween....going from office to office collecting money with her partner in crime, Mare!! Congratulations to Paula Nichols the Classified Employee for April. Paula is the Schedule Coordinator for academic classes in the Academic Affairs Office.

Jane Arledge writes, "Paula is a wonder woman. She manages a very difficult and challenging job with incredible efficiency, excellent judgement, and a SMILE. She works very hard to help the faculty in need and succeeds. Even though her direct contact with students is limited, she touches all of their lives."

Paula has served on the Classified Staff Council and as Chairperson for the Classified Staff Employee of the Month Selection Committee. She is also very active in her church.
