Charlie Monfort is the founding owner, chair and CEO of the
Colorado Rockies Baseball Club. He grew up in the family cattle
feeding business, working at every level, and in 1988 became president
of Monfort International Sales, one of the world's largest exporters
of beef. Later he was named president of ConAgra Refrigerated Foods
International which consolidated a number of ConAgra business divisions
including Swift & Co., Armour-Swift-Echrich, Butterball, Beatrice
Cheese and Monfort International Sales.
Monfort is a past chair and remains a member of the Special Olympics
board of directors. He is a past chair of the Citizens of the West
steering committee.
He has a degree in marketing and business management from the University
of Utah and resides with his wife, Vanessa, and two children in
Greeley.
